My name is Camille. My friends call me Cami. I live, breath and desire Mid Century Design. Over the years, I’ve owned and decorated many homes. My style hasn’t changed much. I’ve always thought mid century was cool (everyone else thought I was nuts) but I really started buying, collecting and obsessing in the 90’s.

Back in the late 70’s and early 80’s, I saw so many amazing things thatI just loved. Now I wish I had bought every single one.

It’s tough looking back on all the deals I missed and all the beautiful pieces that slipped through my fingers. But that’s why I’m writing this blog. Nowadays, I rarely miss a good deal. And neither will you!

This blog is dedicated to helping anyone that loves mid century design find quality stuff at great prices. It will also be your style guide, offering fresh and funky ways to incorporate new pieces into your current design.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:  My husband and I currently own an automated shade and custom drapery company. Way back when… before motorization  and automation took over the world, I was designing, hand-sewing and styling draperies everywhere from high-end Manhattan apartments, to  5-star hotels in Bermuda. I love bold, bright colors and my eye for blending one-of-a-kind pieces together is what guides me on my hunt for the best mid century finds.

WHERE YOU NEED TO GO NEXT!  One of my favorite stores for quality vintage pieces is Provisions in Midland Park NJ. It’s owned by Catherine and Michael… a  cute, super savvy couple who both have awesome taste. They carry a really wide range of stuff  (from vintage photographs to lamps to dishes to small and large furniture) for very reasonable prices.

I recently purchased a lamp from them that is drop dead mid century gorgeous. Check it out! IMG_4034

That’s all for now… but be sure to come back because every week I’ll be dishing out the latest and greatest in mid century style (think tag & estate sales, super steals & deals, hard to find collectibles, vintage artwork, design tips….and so much more!)

See you soon,
